Michael J. Garavalia

Licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri, Michael concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with emphases in municipal law, local governmental defense and personal injury.

In addition to his practice in the state courts of Illinois and Missouri, Michael is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for Southern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Michael has earned successful verdicts on behalf of his clients in state and federal trial courts.  Beyond the trial courts, Michael has argued successfully before the Illinois Appellate Court for the Fifth Judicial District and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the St. Clair County Bar Association and the East St. Louis Bar Association.  He is the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Mascoutah, Illinois, and is the class lecturer for the St. Clair County Corrections Academy's training course on civil liabilities in the corrections setting.

Michael is a graduate of McKendree College and Southern Illinois University School of Law.  He resides in Belleville, Illinois.
